The Big Sky

March 28, 2020

For anyone needing some sky today here are a few moments from today’s offering…click on the image for more…

I’m coming through a few days of lacking in focus and energy. It’s been only 4 days of lockdown in the UK so far and I’m so thankful that so far we’ve had sunshine and good weather to lift our spirits. I think I’m going through that detoxing time that often happens when you stop…I sometimes feel it on a Sunday…all the melancholy comes to the surface because of the stresses of the previous week. Rather than keeping on going and going and going and suppressing the feelings like we usually do, this period of stopping has meant that my body, mind, spirit have allowed it to surface and be kind of skimmed off. I’m thinking we all need a bit of adjustment time to this new and hopefully temporary way of life. Today though, because I haven’t forced myself to ‘do’ things for the last few days, I felt a bit more energetic and able to be a bit creative…I cleaned the bathroom - yippee - and then started sanding down a set of drawers that I want to paint and revive so I can get organised with my art venture. I’m remaining hopeful that good things will come from this time but I’m aware that there will be many different experiences of it.

The sky helps me to keep things in perspective. The size and scale of the sky reminds me that we are not alone in this vast universe. We are not going through this on our own.
